Cozy Day: On Tuesday, kids may wear pajamas, including slippers and robes, and bring a stuffed animal to celebrate our school PBIS reward and to support the 1st graders' music performance of "Pajama Party!"

Valentine's Day: Our class party will be on Friday, February 14th from 2:00-3:00. Kids are allowed to bring valentine cards, but they must bring them for all 24 kids in our class. Here is a class list if your child wants to write names on the cards, but it's not necessary. We will be playing a game, making a craft, decorating heart cookies, passing out cards, and having snacks/treats. If you would like to send something in, please use this signup form. Thank you!

Math: Last week, we completed lessons 4 & 7 in unit 5. This week we will complete lessons 8-12. Extra practice using the IXL textbook is available for those who struggle. Your child can also front load and work on the upcoming lessons to feel more confident in class!

Music: Remind your child to bring his/her recorder to school on Thursdays for music. 

Recess/Weather: Remember to send your child with proper outdoor clothing for recess, including a change of socks & gloves. Thanks for your help!

All About Me!: Each week a student is the All About Me student. They have completed a poster in class and get to share special things about themselves each day. When it is your child's turn, I will send home a paper stating everything he or she needs. Isaac is up this week!

Birthday Treats: We have students with allergies to gluten, tree nuts, and dairy. Please try to be mindful if you send a birthday snack with these items. I do have Skittles for those affected. Thanks for helping to keep everyone safe!

Volunteering: If you are able to volunteer in the classroom or willing to take projects home to complete, please fill out this form. Thank you for your willingness to help!

Class Parties: If you are interested in volunteering to organize classroom parties fill out the Google Forms. Thank you for your consideration!

                                                              Sarett Nature Center : Parents are welcome to meet us at Sarett Nature Center on Friday at 12:00. Please email me if you plan to attend, so I know how to best split up the kids into hiking groups. You will pay the entrance fee when you arrive. Our tour starts at 12:15. Remember to dress for the weather since we will be hiking! MStep Math: W e will start the test on Tuesday and will finish on Wednesday.                                                                                  NWEA Reading: We will take our final NWEA assessment for reading on Tuesday and Wednesday. As always, students are allowed to bring gum, mints, or Jolly Ranchers to "wake up" their brains. Please avoid absences and make sure kids are prepared to show how much they have learned this year! Track Meet: We are in need of a wagon and volunteer to travel with us at the high school on Friday for the track meet. The kids will put their water bottles in the wagon so they can stay hydrated while they compete in the various events.                                                                 Senior Service Project Donations: This week only, please donate if you can. Smart Watches and Phones: Please note that students are not allowed to wear smart watches or have phones during the school day. They may leave them powered off in their backpacks.
