Bookmarks/Nightly Reading Homework: All students have received a bookmark to track their reading rate in their good fit books. 4th grade homework is reading for 20 minutes every night. The bookmarks should be filled in correctly, signed by an adult, and returned to school daily. Thanks for your help instilling responsibility and the love of reading! Snacks & Class Donations: We are running low on class snacks. If you are willing to donate, apples and bananas are best for quick, healthy snacks. We are also low on paper towels. Thank you! Birthday Treats: We have students with allergies to gluten, tree nuts, and dairy. Please try to be mindful if you send a birthday snack with these items. I do have Skittles for those affected. Thanks for helping to keep everyone safe! All About ...

All About Me!: Each week a student is the All About Me student. They have completed a poster in class and get to share special things about themselves each day. When it is your child's turn, I will send home a paper stating everything he or she needs. Willow is our first student up this week! NWEA: Most kids finished the reading test last week. We are still working on the math, so kids may bring mints or sugar-free gum again. Thanks to Marguerite's family for donating extras to the class! We will finish testing this week, so they shouldn't be bringing gum or candy from now on unless they choose gum for a touchdown.  Touchdowns:  I will explain this at Back to Sc...

Happy Labor Day!  First Week & Daily Procedures: We had an exciting and successful first week of school! It's been wonderful getting to know your child and learning procedures to help build a stronger classroom community! Each student should have a "good fit" book in his or her backpack. 4th graders are encouraged to read for 20 minutes or more at home each night and bring their home folders back and forth between home & school daily. This is a wonderful way to continue the conversation with your child about what is needed for school each day. Supplies: Thank you for the  classroom  donations! ...
