October 14 - 18

Laps for Lincoln: Thank you, thank you, thank you! Because of your hard work and generosity, we raised a record breaking number this year and Lincoln will be getting a new playground this summer.
Conferences: Thank you for your thoughtful discussions at your student-led conference. The kids did an awesome job honestly evaluating their behavior and setting goals for their learning! Many conversations ended with kids needing to practice IXL at home for math. Here is a video explaining how to do that. It is from 2020, so feel free to laugh at me because I couldn't get my hair done during Covid!
Math: This week we are finishing up unit 2 on comparing fractions. We will work on lesson 16 tomorrow and we will most likely take the test on Wednesday. Then we will begin Unit 3 and complete lessons 1 & 2. Extra practice using the IXL textbook is available for those who struggle. Your child can also front load and work on the upcoming unit to feel more confident in class!
All About Me!: Each week a student is the All About Me student. They have completed a poster in class and get to share special things about themselves each day. When it is your child's turn, I will send home a paper stating everything he or she needs. Zelda is up this week!
Halloween Party: Our Halloween Party will be on Halloween from 2:00-3:00. We will have snacks, drinks, & treats, play some games, and make a craft. It will be a busy hour! All are welcome, but anyone who attends must have a volunteer form(see link below) completed in the office.
