Welcome to 4th Grade at Lincoln! This is going to be the best year. I will share the weekly blog at 3:00 PM every Sunday. Weekly events, important upcoming dates, volunteer opportunities, and important links will be included. I will try to keep it brief!

Here is a copy of our daily schedule! The kids also have a copy to keep in their home folders. Home folders should come back and forth every day.

Monday - Media Center

Tuesday - PE; SEL every other week

Wednesday - No Late Start; Art

Thursday - Music

Friday - No School; No Special

Lunch is at 11:30. All students need a water bottle and a healthy snack each day. Specials will be from 1:05-1:55, except on Friday. Morning recess is at 10:45 and afternoon recess is at 3:15. 

PowerSchool only allows me to have access to one parent's email address. If you would like me to have another, please email me from or with that address so I can include that person on the weekly parent emails. 

Please fill out this Get to Know You form if you haven't already so I can get to know your child better!

Please plan to bring the following items some time this week:  

  • a small item to share with the class the first week of school (favorite toy, souvenir, award, etc.) as a get to know each other activity
  • headphones or earbuds to keep at school
  • a photo of your child doing something he or she loves to do(you can email the photo to me and I will print it if that's easier) I'm making a bulletin board that says, " I had the best day with you today!" and I plan to put each child's photo of him or her having the "best day" around the bulletin board. Please have your child in the photo! I can take photos at recess too if you don't have time...I totally understand!!
  • a good fit book to read from home, if possible, until book checkout is available in the library (I have a huge class library too, so don't worry if your child doesn't have a book!)

                                                              Sarett Nature Center : Parents are welcome to meet us at Sarett Nature Center on Friday at 12:00. Please email me if you plan to attend, so I know how to best split up the kids into hiking groups. You will pay the entrance fee when you arrive. Our tour starts at 12:15. Remember to dress for the weather since we will be hiking! MStep Math: W e will start the test on Tuesday and will finish on Wednesday. Sending gum, mints, or jolly ranchers would be great to wake up their brains. Thank you!   All About Me: Here is the list for the All About Me for the rest of the year. May 5th - 9th

                                                                                 NWEA Reading: We will take our final NWEA assessment for reading on Tuesday and Wednesday. As always, students are allowed to bring gum, mints, or Jolly Ranchers to "wake up" their brains. Please avoid absences and make sure kids are prepared to show how much they have learned this year! Track Meet: We are in need of a wagon and volunteer to travel with us at the high school on Friday for the track meet. The kids will put their water bottles in the wagon so they can stay hydrated while they compete in the various events.                                                                 Senior Service Project Donations: This week only, please donate if you can. Smart Watches and Phones: Please note that students are not allowed to wear smart watches or have phones during the school day. They may leave them powered off in their backpacks. Thanks for your help keeping everyone safe! Math:  Last week, we completed unit 6/lessons 8-12. This week we will work on lessons 13-17. Extra practice using the IXL textbook is available for those who struggle. Your child can also front load and work on the upcoming lessons to feel more confident in class!
