NWEA Testing: This week we will begin our winter NWEA testing. We will test in the morning all week, starting with reading and ending with math. Testing in small chunks will help the kids have more stamina. Students are allowed to bring in jolly ranchers and sugar-free gum or mints to "wake up their brains" and help with focus during the tests. Donations are welcome so everyone has something. Thanks for your help making sure your child gets enough sleep and has a healthy breakfast each morning!

Math: This week, we finished unit 4. This week we will complete the assessment for unit 4 and begin unit 5. Extra practice using the IXL textbook is available for those who struggle. Your child can also front load and work on the upcoming lessons to feel more confident in class!

Music: Remind your child to bring his/her recorder to school on Thursdays for music. Mrs. Richards would like them to practice p.6 Hot Cross Buns and all of p.7 before next week's class. I promise you will hear improvement with the recorders eventually!!

Recess/Weather: Remember to send your child with proper outdoor clothing for recess and a change of shoes from winter boots. Kids without a change of shoes will have to call home for a change of shoes. Thanks for your help!

All About Me!: Each week a student is the All About Me student. They have completed a poster in class and get to share special things about themselves each day. When it is your child's turn, I will send home a paper stating everything he or she needs. Lauryn is up this week!
